Angélica Larocca Troost (1979) graduated in 2004 from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil. During her studies she worked for the Brazilian architects Rosana Bonerba e Eduardo Nardelli, and was involved in the restauration of the Museu Paulista, one of the most important museums of São Paulo. After her graduation she worked as an interior designer for Marcelo Rosset and Gustavo Calazans, as a building manager for Sauro+Kerima and Cabeza Sastre, and as a project architect for Sérgio Carramate and KOM Arquitetura. She also briefly participated in the office of Herman Hertzberger, Amsterdam.

Sander Christiaan Troost (1979) finished a Master in architecture with honours in 2005 at the Technische Universiteit Delft, after having studied at the Ecole Politechnique Federal de Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil). During his studies, he worked for professors Kees van der Hoeven, Alan Brookes and Maria Cecilia Lourenço Franca. His graduation project ‘Image and self-image of São Paulo’ was included in the national selection of the Archiprix 2006. In 2005 he joined the office of Herman Hertzberger in Amsterdam, until 2006 when he founded the office in Amsterdam. After moving to Brazil, he worked as a project architect at Cabeza Sastre, until restarting the office in January 2008.
