Project: Headquarters Ouro fino (2007-2010)

The design of the 8000 m² headquarters of the Ouro Fino group is based both upon their high-tech laboratories as well as the dedicated care for the employees. The building consists of two blocks of two floors each, one we lifted up to create parking space underneath, allowing for a garden with auditorium and restaurant on top of the lower block. We concentrated the infrastructure (meeting rooms, archives, toilets and elevators) in a core alongside the atrium, which leaves the officefloors open and flexible, facilitating the quick growth and changes of the company. The circulationspace in the building is designed as a sequence of curved paths, squares, gardens and bridges, which cross on a central square hanging on firstfloor level in the atrium.
